    • The Polaris 440 IQR has a Liberty engine with a displacement of 438 cc, a bore of 2.6 inches and a stroke of 2.5 inches. The piston to cylinder clearance is .005 inches while the piston ring end gap is .013 inches. The engine idles at 1,200 rpm and operates at approximately 8,500 rpm. The belt is 1.4 inches wide and its single angle is 26 degrees. The drive clutch bolt torque is 50 ft-lb. The IQR 440 has an IQ Race suspension with a spring rate of 150 lbs-inch and front vertical travel distance of 10 inches. In the rear, an IQ Race suspension has a nitrogen pressure of 170 psi. The engine has two TMX 34 carburetors.

    • The overall length of the Polaris 440 IQR is 110 inches, its width is 48 inches and height is 45 inches. The approximate dry weight of this snowmobile is 450 pounds. The length of the Soucy-built track is 121 inches, the ski center distance is 42.5 inches and ski width is 5.5 inches. The Polaris 440 IQR holds four gallons of recommended 110-octane fuel and four quarts of liquid coolant. It has Phantom dual piston caliper brakes.

    Design and Appearance

    • The IQR 440 has an aluminum and chromoly bulkhead. The tunnel and rear bumper are both aluminum while the front bumper is chromoly and steel. The Polaris IQR 440 has dual 60/55W halogen headlights and multi-range hand/thumb warmers. The skis are a saddle-less composite design and the ignition is digital. The IQR 440 uses a Polaris VES, single exhaust pipe. The IQR 440 has a tachometer as well as a parking brake. Reverse is an optional accessory. The hood color is Race Red, the nose pan is black, the tunnel is unpainted and the accent and decal colors are silver metallic, black and white.
